To meet an increase in demand for the Post-Production, Digital and Visual Effects Rebate Scheme and continuation of the scheme from 2022-23.
SCREEN PRODUCTION FUND
$6.6m OVER 4 YEARS
Increase screen production funding for the South Australian Film Corporation. The Fund supports the production of screen content for commercial release. This initiative is funded by ceasing the payroll tax exemption and associated ex-gratia relief for film production.
PAYROLL TAX EXEMPTION FOR TRAINEES AND APPRENTICES
The 2021-22 Budget extends the 12 month payroll tax exemption for wages paid to eligible trainees and apprentices who commence a relevant training contract. Applies up to 30 June 2022 for 12 months from the contract commencement date.
LOT FOURTEEN - CAPABILITY CENTRES

To enable Renewal SA to continue to transform Lot Fourteen into a beacon for future industries and jobs. Government investment in existing buildings on the site will be boosted to enable the expansion of space, digital, hi-tech and cyber companies in a collaborative setting. A particular focus of the next stage of these developments will be providing suitable accommodation for small satellite development.
SMALL BUSINESS CAPABILITY PROGRAM
$2.6m OVER 4 YEARS
Support small businesses to develop digital and cyber security capabilities, as well as other traditional key business capabilities to enter the national trade market boosting interstate exports. A revitalised web presence will provide improved information and support to small businesses.
ESTABLISHING TRADE AND INVESTMENT REPRESENTATION IN MAINLAND EUROPE
$1.8m OVER 4 YEARS
Establish a European focused trade and investment office in Paris to increase the state’s international trade and investment outcomes.
GREAT STATE VOUCHER SCHEME - ADDITIONAL ROUNDS
$4m IN 2021-22
Contribution towards the Great State Voucher Scheme for accommodation vouchers during the winter period and a future round later in 2021-22.
The Great State Voucher Scheme offers vouchers to reduce the cost of a booking with participating providers, supporting providers and the broader tourism industry.
$800 000 OVER 2 YEARS
Activating the Adelaide precinct, by supporting events and activities that encourage people to visit and spend time in the city. Events will encourage workers to return from working at home to working in city based offices.
BUILD-TO-RENT LAND TAX DISCOUNT
A 50 per cent land tax discount will be introduced for eligible new build-to-rent housing projects. The discount will reduce the land value for land tax purposes by 50 per cent to the 2039-40 land tax year.
